Puppy Training Program
see the training timeline
K9 Solutions Center has launched a new program for clients who want to fulfill the rewarding and challenging experience of taking a puppy from ground zero to the completion of a happy, healthy, productive trained dog. This program is a great opportunity for those who want to build a strong relationship between themselves and the dog who will become a member of their family. Whether you are looking for a personal protection dog for your family, a police dog for your unit, or even if you are in need of a tracking or detection dog, building a stable bond between yourself and the dog you will be working with is crucial to the success you both can experience. Not only will you be working side by side with the K9 Solutions Center training staff in the growth of your companion, but your purchase of a puppy will save a substantial amount of money in the long run.

The program begins with the purchase of an 8-10 week old puppy, bred from titled, proven, working dogs, who are not only sound in temperament and ability, but also in appearance. Depending on the breed of your puppy, the initial price will vary. The following breeds are available: German Shepherd, Belgian Malinios, Doberman, Dutch Shepherd, Rottweiler, and Labrador/Golden Retriever (Labs and Retrievers are not for future protection work). The average cost of a fully trained working dog ranges from $5000-$8000, which normally is paid in full at the time of purchase. However, one of the main ideas of the puppy program is to spread the cost of a fully trained dog over a twelve month period. This way, not only would you get the chance to be a part of your dogs development, but there is a substantial savings included.
Example
Purchase of German Shepherd puppy.................$800-$1200
12 payments for training @ $200 a month............$2400
Total price for fully trained dog (from puppy)......$3200-3600
Savings over purchase of fully trained dog........$1750-$4800
K9 Solutions Center established this program because we understand the value of a top quality working dog, and the benefits they can provide. Furthermore, we understand the economic strains of day to day life. Through this program, we are enabling the client to have the security, reliability, and companionship of a professionally trained animal at a much more manageable cost spread out over a period of time.
- Upon your purchase, K9 Solutions Center will provide you with all the necessary training techniques needed to properly socialize and acclimate your dog to his or her new environment. At around six months, the puppy is returned to the facility for obedience training. This training takes approximately four to six weeks to complete. Once this portion of training is complete, Worldwide professionals will work with you to assure proficiency between you and your dog. This process is repeated at approximately 12-15 months for the last phase of desired training. During this time your dog will learn the required skills needed for your particular situation, whether that be protection, detection, patrol, etc.
- If for some reason your puppy does not meet the training standards or develops a genetic health defect, he or she will be replaced at no additional cost. We look forward to working with you and your new puppy, and beginning what we hope will be a highly beneficial program to our clients.

Dog Behavior Modification
Most behavior problems can be resolved through obedience training. Positive obedience training is implemented in areas where a behavior problem occurs. Example; a dog will always jump on people, solution, teach a solid sit and stay. A dog that is sitting cant jump.
A solid foundation of obedience will give your dog a purpose, and something positive to do for their master. Learning obedience is the equivalent to a child learning their a,b,c's and 1-2-3. At K9 Solutions Center, all obedience is based on "Purely Positive" training, and positive motivation for the dog. We rarely use food reward. The reward of accomplishment and pleasing their master is one of the greatest motivations for a dog.
Price: We offer a free consultation, after the consultation, we will give you two different price and payment options. We can quote you a total class price based on the amount of time we estimate it will take to correct the behavior problem. The second option is to pay an hourly rate. The rate for behavior modification is $35.00 per hour. These are 2 hour sessions. Travel time is $.35 cents per mile from our Brookville Ohio office. If you are less then 30 miles from our office, the travel is included in the price of training. Any more time than 2 hours, the dog gets tired and the training is not productive. We do have a 2 hour minimum for our sessions. K9 Solutions Center will work with you, and make sure the training your dog needs is available. We also offer billing for approved clients.
